ABSTRACT: This study explores the influence of early childhood education (ECE) on grandparents' involvement in their grandchildren's education and upbringing. Grandparents play a significant role in family dynamics and can positively impact children's development through their involvement in ECE activities. The objectives are to (1) assess the level of grandparents' participation in ECE programs, (2) evaluate the impact of ECE on grandparents' roles and relationships with grandchildren, and (3) examine changes in grandparents' attitudes towards modern educational practices. A survey design is justified to gather data on grandparents' involvement and perceptions. A purposive sample of 140 grandparents with grandchildren  from preschools in Ebonyi State was selected. The case study focuses on preschools recognized for their intergenerational programs. Findings revealed increased grandparents' participation in ECE activities, strengthened bonds with grandchildren, and positive changes in attitudes towards contemporary educational approaches. Recommendations include promoting intergenerational learning opportunities in ECE settings, providing resources for grandparents, and enhancing communication between educators and grandparents to support children's holistic development.
